SK Arts is thrilled to unveil the 2026 Recognized Artists for Arts of Celebration - Connection! This year's showcase highlights the extensive range of talent in Saskatchewan’s dance, literary, media, multidisciplinary and visual arts disciplines that the community recommended for recognition and celebration. The artists, artistic leaders and arts organizations bring unique perspectives, skillsets and stories, capturing the essence of celebration, culture and artistic expression. Head to the SK Arts website to see your favourites and learn about new community members.
The Arts of Celebration campaign highlights the collective experience, diversity, incredible range and achievement within the local arts sector.
Voting Opens Soon!
SK Arts will provide cash awards to one artist or administrator in each discipline within the Emerging Professional Artists and Established Artists and Arts Leaders categories, as well as two awards within the Organizations, Festivals and Collectives category through the Arts of Celebration - Connection campaign. The Aspiring Youth category has a single recipient and will not be included in the voting process.
The awards offer direct support to artists without requiring applications, detailed justifications and formal reporting on how the funding is used to support their practice. For this, we rely on you.
From April 13, 2026, until May 8, 2026, SK Arts invites the arts community to vote for your favourite artists, administrators and organizations to receive the cash awards. Voting is via Typeform, accessible from the Arts of Celebration page on the SK Arts website; voters will need a valid email address to participate.
It's quick and easy and ensures that every vote counts once. Casting your vote helps to shine a spotlight on those who inspire and shape the artistic world. Voters must submit one vote per category and discipline to complete the voting process.
If you are unfamiliar with the selections available for a category, we encourage you to read about the artists, administrators and organizations on the recommendations page and view it as an opportunity to discover a new favourite!
Recipients with the most votes in each category will be announced at the Arts of Celebration - Connection event on Monday, May 25, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at the Jacqui Shumiatcher Room - Conexus Arts Centre in Regina.
