SK Arts provides grants, programs and services to individuals and groups whose activities have an impact on the arts in Saskatchewan and ensure that opportunities exist for Saskatchewan residents to experience all art forms. It pursues partnerships and delivers arts funding programs and special initiatives that provide opportunities for artists and arts organizations working independently or collaboratively to create their work and communities and schools across the province to engage in arts activities. As a member of a talented team, the Registrar will work collaboratively with the CEO and the agency’s Permanent Collections team and is responsible for decisions that require professionalism, independent judgement and proactive approaches to problem solving.

Essential to the position is comprehensive knowledge of museological standards and best collections practices as well as knowledge of and experience with Saskatchewan art, artists, and traditional and current artistic practices. The successful applicant also will have post secondary education in the Fine Arts, supplemented by several years’ experience working in a gallery or museum setting.

Salary:                                   $5,605 monthly

                                               (Pay Band 8, Step 1, SK Arts/SGEU Collective Agreement, 2022 to 2025)

Employment Location:        SK Arts office, Regina
