The Saskatchewan Arts Board gives a warm welcome to Carol Greyeyes, the newest addition to our team of Program Consultants. 

Hanna Yokozawa Farquharson of Saltcoats and Catherine Joa of Denare Beach are new to the Saskatchewan Arts Board's Permanent Collection.

Saskatoon musician Lévi Soulodre wrote an album based on poems his mother wrote before he was born.

An Artists in Schools grant enabled Regina Catholic Schools and local artists to work together to provide diverse dance and music programming to Kindergarten students at St. Kateri Tekakwitha School.

The new Saskatchewan Arts Awards sculpture, North, South, West, East – Nothing, Something, Wavelengths, Everything, is by Saskatchewan Artist Marie Lannoo.

Soprano Andrea Lett credits her undergraduate training at the University of Manitoba’s Desautels Faculty of Music for giving her the foundation for success as a professional opera singer. Her final two years there were supported by Saskatchewan Arts Board’s Prince Edward Arts Scholarships.

The Saskatchewan Arts Board has added 26 works by 15 artists to our Permanent Collection at the recent submission deadline. Two are pieces by Patuanak-born artist Catherine Blackburn, who was recently long-listed for the Sobey Art Award.

Silent headphone concerts and discos have gained popularity in recent years, particularly in Europe. Saskatoon indie rock band Close Talker is taking that concept once step further, with a touring 3D Binaural Silent Concert Series, supported by Saskatchewan Arts Board grants.
