Upcoming workshop:

June 23 (Online via Zoom and in person at the Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan outdoor tent, Saskatoon; 1-3 p.m.):  Knowledge Based Assessment
Lead by Anne Dunning

For an organization of any kind to learn and change, leadership must have access to tools and approaches to accurately assess internal condition and the external environment.  Assessment practices in the nonprofit arts sector have long been modeled after assessment in other sectors in which the value systems are largely growth-based.  ARTS Action Research has been working with theatre companies over the past several years to explore new approaches to assessment that work with the knowledge bases in the arts and that better reflect the value systems of the sector.  In this workshop, we will introduce assessment strategies and techniques that all arts organizations can integrate into their planning and organizational activities.  Participants will learn how to use assessment tools, create assessment plans, add new assessment practices to their work and to analyze and integrate the assessment data to support learning and change.
