Professional artists have completed basic training in their discipline (through formal training or mentorships, as appropriate), have a body of work that has received critical recognition and are recognized as professionals by their peers.
As long as you have all of the information required to complete the Nomination Form, you don't need to inform the nominee of the nomination.
Before nominations are assessed, SK Arts staff review them to confirm that eligibility and technical requirements have been satisfied. The panel establishes a short-list of nominees for each award and selects the recipient. The adjudication criteria for each award are available in the Nomination Package here.
